2005 December four former West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service Dennis fire appliances start the long journey from Sussex to Kursk.

. Having cleared customs at St Petersburg, a convoy of 3 of the Dennis appliances leaves the docks for a local fire station to await the arrival of the fourth vehicle, due to arrive the following week, before being driven to the Town of Kursk.
