FUND RAISING

PROJECTS

1.   Provide vehicles and equipment to Kursk Region to improve fire cover and efficiency to best international standards. This is a 3 year programme. This may include the setting up of a separate service for the Regional capital.

2 equipped vehicles to be shipped shortly.

A convoy of 6 pumps to Kursk planned for summer 2011.

2.  Help provide Road Traffic Collision rescue equipment for every fire station in the Region.

3.  Help provide training in the use of the rescue gear.

4.   Provide assistance to Kursk State Polytechnic College to develop current basic Fire Courses into a full fire safety college eventually providing advanced courses in all aspects of fire service and rescue work.

5.   Help to get Federal approval for fire behaviour training in Russia.

6.  Subject to approval, assist with setting up the fire behaviour training facilities for both Moscow and Kursk

7.   Arrange courses for the fire students to attend in the UK as soon as possible. There is significant potential for further development of this activity for specialist training.

8.   Develop links with the All Russia Voluntary Fire Organisation (VDPO).

9.   In cooperation with VDPO explore how best Fire safety Friends Of Russia can continue to assist with improving fire and road safety.
